Pohod skozi delavski naselji Fužine in Štepanjc

Prvi maj kot mednarodni praznik dela predstavlja pomembno simbolno točko boja za delavske pravice in boljše življenje. Je priložnost, da se spomnimo dosežkov delavskega gibanja – da skozi spomin na pretekle boje ovrednotimo družbene razmere danes ter se ozremo v prihodnost. Hkrati nas ta dan opominja, da delavske in socialne pravice niso samoumevne, da niso nikoli podarjene, ampak vedno posledica organiziranih prizadevanj ljudi ter rezultat razrednega boja.
Tudi zato, ker je zgodovino delavstva in revolucije potrebno vrniti v naš imaginarij, vas vabimo, da se nam pridružite na prvomajskem zborovanju, v okviru katerega se bomo sprehodili skozi Fužine in Štepanjc, spoznali zgodovino njunega delavskega in revolucionarnega boja in hkrati naslovili izzive, s katerimi se delavstvo in naše organizacije soočamo danes.
Delavski naselji Nove Fužine in Štepanjc nudita priložnost, da spoznamo urbanistično zgodovino sosesk, zgrajenih v poznem socializmu, in jo povežemo z aktualnim samoorganiziranjem stanovalk in stanovalcev obeh sosesk. Četudi sta bili delavski naselji zgrajeni pozno v 20. stoletju, imajo Fužine in Štepanja vas daljšo zgodovino delavskega in revolucionarnega organiziranja. Med okupacijo Ljubljane je delavstvo Fužin in Štepanje vasi prevzelo pomemben del odgovornosti za organiziranje upora proti fašizmu in osvoboditev.
Tako kot so se ljudje v preteklosti v težkih razmerah upirali izkoriščanju in zatiranju, se moramo organizirati tudi mi. Danes se je nujno zoperstaviti procesom opustošenja naše družbe in planeta, ki sta direktna posledica kapitalistične ureditve sveta.

Vse tovarišice in tovariše, sestrske antikapitalistične skupine in organizacije tako kot lansko leto vabimo, da podprete pobudo za letošnje prvomajsko zborovanje v Ljubljani in se vključite v proces njegove priprave. Vabimo vas, da zborovanje aktivno podprete: s svojo udeležbo, vsebino, govori in materiali, svojimi simboli, zastavami in transparenti.
Z zborovanjem želimo vzpostaviti tudi prostor komunikacije med antikapitalističnimi strukturami s pogledom na skupne boje v prihodnje.
Pozivamo vas, da pomagate tudi pri agitaciji in promociji dogodka: da v svojih in sestrskih prostorih nalepite plakate, razdelite letake, najavo pa objavite na vaših spletnih straneh in na socialnih omrežjih. ★
May Day Rally
Walk through the working-class neighborhoods of Fužine and Štepanjc

May Day, as International Workers’ Day, represents an important symbolic milestone in the struggle for workers’ rights and a better life. It is an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the labor movement—to assess today’s social conditions through the lens of past struggles and to look toward the future. At the same time, this day reminds us that workers’ and social rights are not a given, that they are never simply granted, but are always the result of organized efforts by people and the outcome of class struggle.
Because we need to bring the history of the working class and the revolution back into our collective consciousness, we invite you to join us at the May Day rally, during which we will walk through Fužine and Štepanjc, learn about the history of their workers’ and revolutionary struggles, and at the same time address the challenges that the working class and our organizations face today.
The working class neighborhoods of Nove Fužine and Štepanjc offer an opportunity to explore the urban history built during the late socialist era and to connect it with the current self-organization efforts of the residents of both neighborhoods. Although the workers’ housing estates were built in the late 20th century, Fužine and Štepanja vas have a longer history of workers’ and revolutionary organizing. During the occupation of Ljubljana, the working class of Fužine and Štepanja vas took on a significant share of the responsibility for organizing the resistance against fascism and for the liberation.
Just as people in the past resisted exploitation and oppression in difficult circumstances, we too must organize ourselves. Today, it is imperative to oppose the processes of destruction of our society and our planet, which are a direct consequence of the capitalist world order.

To all comrades, sister anti-capitalist groups, and organizations: just as we did last year, we invite you to support the initiative for this year’s May Day rally in Ljubljana and to get involved in the planning process. We invite you to actively support the rally: through your participation, content, speeches, and materials, as well as your symbols, flags, and banners.
Through this gathering, we also aim to create a space for communication among anti-capitalist groups with a view to future joint struggles.
We urge you to help with the promotion of the event: put up posters in your own and sister spaces, distribute flyers, and post the announcement on your websites and social media. ★
